The Avenue is a 1FE primary school and nursery in Brondesbury, West London. The school accommodation is spread between a number of period buildings, a concrete hall and temporary classrooms. There are a number of mature trees on the North part of the site which provide shade and privacy from the surrounding roads.
The schools brief was to replace the existing 1FE on the South part of the site with a purpose built 1FE to the latest standards and community classrooms that the school could expand into in the future to increase capacity to 2FE. The 1 room nursery on the north part of the site would be replaced with a new larger créche and nursery grouped with administrative facilities and some housing for staff.
After the new buildings on the North part of site are completed the existing school buildings will decant into the new building. A 2FE secondary facility would be built on this larger more rectangular part of the site.
